I have a Canyon Lux and want to hold a spare for any Canyon specific parts so that should I need to, say, replace a bearing then I have the required part. Do other people keep stock so that they are reliant on 1 supplier?

Canyon have sent through this spec: https://www.canyon.com/downloads/supportcenter/M31-15_BOM_ts.pdf

Now I just need to work out which are the parts likely to succumb to wear & tear (and would need to be sourced from Canyon). Does this look right?

Thanks,
Rich

You could just buy a second bike.

Crikey. Is that what most people do when their bearings wear?

No most just replace the bearings. Washers etc don't normally wear. Some pivots or axles might.

If the parts are no longer available it's a good excuse for a new bike though.

I was hoping that most of those bits would be a few quid each.

It is more that when I ordered a pivot in April it took 8 weeks to arrive meaning I was without the bike for the first part of the summer. All the other bike parts/spares can be sourced from multiple retailers so unlikely to be unavailable.

Only the bearings should wear and they are just standard sizes which are readily available from any bearing supplier.
To buy all the parts you have highlighted would probably cost as much as a new frame and let's be honest, no one buys a Canyon because of its frame.
