New BB - Should Spindle be visible?
Morning all, I'm hoping you more knowledgeable people could offer advice if possible ...
The BB on my Charge Plug starting getting a bit rough so I thought I'd replace it - 68 x 103, square taper, no problem. I bought a Token replacement at the same size and installed it last night. One thing I have noticed is that the spindle on the non drive side is visible now, whereas I don't think it was before. The drive side is fine, chainline good, and both sides snugged up to about 50Nm. I've attached a pic to demonstrate.
I'm not concerned about the aesthetics, I'm more concerned about it causing functional problem.
Thanks in advance for any help

no functional problems there. as it tightens on the taper.
if you could not see the axle you might find that the cranks could not turn."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Fantastic, thank you Nick.
It was one of those moments when you think "I'm sure that never looked like that before"
Thanks again, it's much appreciated.0
