Holiday near Bikepark Wales

Does anybody have a recommendations for a nice hotel near to or within roughly an hour north of Bikepark Wales. The idea being that me and the missus can have a few days away, she can relax in the hotel spa/pool for a day whilst I go to BPW then we can have a day or two out round local towns etc'?

We're heading down from Blackpool so don't really want to go further south than BPW as it's a bloody long way!

Alternatively, can anyone recommend anywhere at all that's a nice hotel with spa/pool, some decent riding nearby and a good location for us both to wander about!? (Not Lake District) I appreciate this is pretty open ended, but personal recommendations are always good.

    I've only just seen this mate. if it's not too late, there's a hotel about 15 mins drive from bpw that has a spa.

    I've not been there myself but I'm told it's nice.

    nice one, cheers fella. we're putting this off til early next year now so I'll definitely check that place out. Other option at moment is Peebles Hydro for a holiday near Glentress instead
