Mudguard Rattling

Hi everyone,
Now before anyone gets on my back I know this question has probably been asked a million times around this time of year but I've just fitted mudguards to my Giant Defy (the giant specific mudguards) and had a test run out last Sunday. I checked that they were tight and fitted quite well before I set off. However, there is a lot of noise especially from the rear mudguard due to vibrating of the plastic guard on rougher roads. Has anyone got any tips to reduce or get rid of this noise? It appears to be as a result of there being quite a long distance between the connection to the brakes and the metal arm to the frame.
Thanks in advance

I don't know about the Giant specific guards, but for my SKS ones, I put some "No More Nails On A Roll" under the metal bridge at the rear caliper which stops them rattling. NMNOAR is basically a thick rubbery double sided tape, but I don't know if this will help with your type of guards.0

My rear raceblade rattles against the frame. I have put a cut off bit of velcro chain protector round the frame and that has silenced it.0

Thanks for that, I'll give it a try. I've heard other people say to try and put an old inner tube around the guard itself to stop the plastic guard from vibrating and rattling ....0 -

Thanks in advanceYou only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.0
