Garmin 810 issues - update related?

Hi all.
I have had a couple of issues with my 810 which has been pretty faultless till now.
A couple of rides back the cadence sensor did not work. Last time but one out, the unit stopped recording (fortunately only 3 or 4 miles from getting home. Then yesterday it displayed all fields from the start but having uploaded to Connect the various graphs show a steady upward slope for the first hour and forty minutes approx before kicking in to show peaks and troughs. Is this all likely to related to the latest software upgrade (which I think I probably have). Will try reverting to earlier version if I can.
