Chain problems

I took the mrs out on her new bike today but after about 6km the chain kept jumping of the smallest ring at the front. Then after a little while further having the front gear sat on the second ring, the rear gears started jumping around as though they were out of line but they looked perfectly true between the derailleur and cassette
any idea's, i'm guessing adjustment for the rear but the constant throwing thew chain off on the front is not something i've encountered before. The chain wasn't over adjusting it was just jumping off the ring

As above, but if that does not solve the problem, slowly back pedal the bike and see if the 'jump' happens in the same place on the chain each time, usually around the jockey wheels and cassette. If so it could be a broken/stiff link.0
