Clothing frequency - Daily.
Washing frequency - Twice/thrice weekly depending on usage/weather.
Method - Wife.
The wife method does most of mine, however she has a tendency to add softener to everything, so I do my cycling stuff myself.Intent on Cycling Commuting on a budget, but keep on breaking/crashing/finding nice stuff to buy.

Typical of bankers, solicitors and estate agents... it's your conscience you have to wash, not your clothes...left the forum March 20230 -
What's so bad about softener?
Softener/Conditioner acts by applying a layer "waxy" type material to fabric, and typically fills up microscopic holes in the fabric at the same time.
Therefore the waxy substance gets in the way of sweat getting to the actual fabric, and therefore affects the wicking performance of the material.
So if you want to keep a your technical tops wicking, don't use softener with them.
Ditto microfiber clothes.Intent on Cycling Commuting on a budget, but keep on breaking/crashing/finding nice stuff to buy.

daily is the bare minimum - in summer the pong on the return journey is bad enough without going anywhere near day 20 -

Naaa, train your body not to smell... use wool as much as possible, hang your clothes inside out overnight, lose weight and drink/eat less processed food and you won't smell as bad.
Honestly, my merino base layer does not smell after 5 days of use, it's a wonderful thing.
Besides, smell is very much down to individual taste... for instance I prefer the smell of a dog to the smell of someone who has sprayed Lynx Africa all over his bodyleft the forum March 20230 -

Still don't fancy wearing Lycra for 2 days though.
