From their absence, I can only presume that the shirkers are trying to make up for the first 3 days of the week by looking busy today.

Not me, I am off to do a bit gardening (and not the uphill variety before anyone asks me for a date).

Laters.

  • I couldn't think of a witty title so didn't bother.

Today is going to be mainly made up of what should have been done yesterday as I was dragged over to yorkshire twice.

The boy is at an open evening tonight, the wfe is at the gym so I'm going to go cycling.

Just waiting for a breakfast burrito to be delivered then waiting for the club ride tonight.

workflow, quotes and various conference calls in between.....

Got a tighten the nut and get out on some zone 2 pre breakfast rides and they say the hardest yards are from the bed to the shed.

Exhausted after my exertions yesterday but I'll try to soldier on till lunch. Returning my second leather jacket in a week. My leather jacket curse continues, they either don't look quite right or meet with a freak accident, one ended up in the Thames :(

Were you wearing said leather jacket when it fell in the Thames?
Feeling a bit worse for wear after beer and curry last night, went to the curry shop opposite Sigma Sport. I'm sure they would have been impressed to see a 50 year old ladies shopping bike locked to their railings. Boy's birthday today so mild chaos at ours this morning. Lots going on this evening as celebrations. Chief tea maker is back in the office so I should be well hydrated today.

Yes but fortunately not from a bridge. Salt water and leather don't mix. How old is the boy?

    17. So L plates and driving lessons make for an expensive birthday. Had to drive the Mini in today to check it's all working ok.

Little unfair squeezing a rugby playing hulk into a mini. Couldn't he have the Audi? I'm sure the insurance would be reasonable.

Happy birthday to the boy. As coincidence would have it, Stropteen is 14 today and has taken loads of chocolate things into school to dish out to her classmates - the thought of 27 sugared/chocolated up 13/14 year olds is a bit scary. Apart from that she's celebrating by going to the Vans store in Carnaby Street after school to buy some shoes. I think she's grown up already...

Other than that, tired. Having a dog is like having a toddler again.

I'll be free for a beer at yours Stevo in 2017. If strop teen wants to invite her friends over for a pyjama party I would grin and bear it.

working from home today, meant I had chance for a decent run this morning

Since then lots of work fun. Later is unplanned, but the plan is no ale
  • As coincidence would have it, Fifa 16 was released today and my son had a pre order for his brthday in June.

Ordered PS3, reciept said PS3. I collected it from town at lunch, got back to work and got the game out to take a pic and send it to him.

What's in the bag? Fucking Xbox version...

Cue unhappy trip back to town again...

Happy birthday to various offspring, as it happens they share a birthday with Victoria Pendleton (and Ally McCoist among others!)

Actually had work to do today but that is very nearly very nearly over and the sun is out and it is Friday tomorrow so all is good!

Pity I don't find PJ funny but then I am a sad miserable basket anyway.

When that first spotty, sweaty handed, post pubescent boy comes knocking at the door, I will be standing there with a chainsaw telling him "No one saw you arrive".

You joke but when my sister was escorted home by her first date, my father was waiting in the front garden with an axe (pretending he was gardening) words to the effect "If you ever hurt my daughter or don't respect her and you're going to be in serious trouble." were enough to put my sister off dating for another year and scared youth was never seen again. So it does work.
