Hi,
Im currently building a 'best' bike, its a Boardman Team carbon frame and forks based, ive just got a 105 5700 groupset for it, first hurdle, front calliper wont go all the way through the hole in the forks !! can i widen the hole with a drill bit to make this fit ? the back one went on straight away !!

The bolt is recessed on the forks so it won't come right the way through0

OK that's great thanks, will have to try and get in there and work out hoe to tighten it all up0

You possibly need to buy a different length of pivot nut to allow your caliper to tighten onto the forks, see item 1. in the attached image0

Yep a new caliper will come with 3 different length nuts to fit different forks. Did the frame/forks come with calipers as you can just re-use the old ones.0 -

Generally true if you order original Shimano parts. However some suppliers, CRC in particular, seem to acquire OEM type stock and will only supply the bare component without any additional "bits" or data sheets. Just a warning.
If you need a longer bolt then they can be sourced on Ebay and the like
