Aston Hills bike choice

I'm trying to organise some trips for the club for this year and since Aston Hill is fairly close it seems like a good option for a day trip. My only concern is that in most of the videos the riders are on full dh rigs, despite the footage of the track suggesting it's smooth and not particularly challenging. I'd like to ride the Commie if possible, but the footage seems to suggest it'd be better suited to the Pitch. Can anyone offer any insight into bike suitability?

  • It's fine on a trail bike.

It's better on a trail bike IMO, most of the tracks are steep and technical so having a lighter more manoeuvrable bike will be more of a benefit than some extra suspension travel
