Saddle hight question

Hello.

I recently bought a Cube LTD pro 29 size 21.

In order to get a good fit i need to raise the saddle 2.4 cm away from the limit.

I have around 13 - 13.5 cm tube inside the frame.

I am kinda worried that it will break when i ride the bike, or is that me just worrying about nothing?

My weight is around 165 lbs.

It's a 1996 Explosif. A bit rough around the edges, but it gets used a lot.

More recent pic, with a correct seatpost, new stem and decent shifters, and experiment with SPDs.

Hopefully enough seatpost showing to freak Angus out.

By definition the limit is the limit - there is nothing wrong with being near the limit - they tend to have a fairly generous safety margin on them anyway

You'll be fine as long as it's not over limit, where it's likely to damage the frame too. The seat post will bend before it breaks, which is exactly what mine did when I have it over limit on my old bike:
