New Shock

Hi All.
The rear Shock on my 2013 Giant Anthem is worn, I'm looking at replacing it, as std it comes with a 165mm RS Monarch R shock, is it worth paying £50 extra for a lock out shock and is it worth looking at other brands ?
What would you recommend ?

What's wrong with your shock? It shouldn't be worn out after two years. I'm sure it can't need any more than a quick service.
The Anthem doesn't need a lock (not that any good shock actually locks) the rear suspension linkage is extremely efficient.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
Id not bother with lockout etc. but the debonair upgrade and a service would be pretty awesome... probably (I've not used a debonair on a 2013 Anthem of course!)A Flock of Birds

Im not sure the Debonair can will fit either the basic Monarch R or the pre 2014 shocks.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

What difference/improvement does the Bebonair can make ??0 -
for lewis its a major improvement in small -medium bump sensititvy as he is a kid. hopefully he will be able to use more of the travel as well. I've give a bigger report tomorrow as we are off to inners for an uplift day0

I went from a standard air can to a Debonair. It improves small bump sensitivity a lot and gives the shock a more progressive rate.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
