cantilevers to v brakes

Hi all,
Ive got a Dolan cyclocross bike with FSA cantilever brakes and sram rival 2012 brake levers. Im finding the cantilevers a pig to keep set up and they have very poor stopping power. Am i able to swap them out for shimano v brakes? I'm not sure if the cable pull will be ok?
I'm thinking of these:

Thanks
Ross

These are the ones you want: Tektro 926AL Mini V-Brake http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/tektro-926al-mini-v-brake/rp-prod34580. Standard MTB V-brakes have too much leverage for road levers.
I replaced the cantis on my Dolan CX with these and they're good, as good as dual-pivot brakes on a road bike. I'm using Ultegra 9-speed levers, I assume SRAM pull the same amount of cable.
Read the comments on the CRC page about mudguards and trimming the noodle.0 -

Tektro CX9 (sometimes called TRP CX9) are the best and offer a decent amount of mud clearance if you ever want to give racing a bash.0

I'd read about the cx9 brakes and liked the look of them. The clearance between the rim and the pads look pretty close. Would they be ok with wider rims such as the hplus sons?0 -

The cheap Tektro ones will be fine, I'd save the money over the CX9s and get decent brake pads, Swissstop greens for all weather conditions if you've got alloy rims.
The smaller arms (8cm) on the 926als let you have more rim clearance but with less stopping power than the longer arms on the CX9 (9mm) but still more than enough for racing. I was doing rear wheel power slides last night at training using them so they definitely have more than enough power. I use them with Sram Force levers.
Definitely trim the end of the noodle if you want to get your wheel out in any kind of hurry, and if you can get hold of one get an adjustable noodle.0
