Front light recommendation, technology seems to change every year.

What is decent and cheap, magicshine?

Any links to good products?

The search tool is probably your best bet, lot's of options and (as usual) budget and a subjective view of quality/risk makes a big difference.

You do need to determine whether you want a See by light, or a Be seen light...and then a realistic idea of duration of use/recharge options.

And if it's a See by light, whether you want it for road use and don't want to be blinding road users coming the other way...

The cheap LED torches from China are great for illuminating the forest, but you really want a properly shaped beam for road use IME

I just fitted a dynamo + B&M light to my commuting bike to get ready for the winter. Had it 2 weeks only and already wish I'd done this ages ago.

+1; running a Son Deluxe front hub with Supernova E3 Pure front and rear lights. So much less hassle and proper illumination.

I run 2 front lights,lezyne micro drive and their new macro drive 600xl. Have one on flashing and one on a low setting-perfect for being seen.

You an just about see enough with the flea on its own if you keep your speed reasonable, so it acts as a backup light if the solarstorm battery runs out, or an emergency light at all other times.

Hope Vision R1 for the front, two Moon Comets (one steady, one flashing) for the rear
