Evening all,

I am looking at buying a Canyon Aeroad but trying to justify the extra £££ for what I believe may be not needed spec.

Can't make my mind up between these two models and whether paying the extra £750 is worth it?

One is the 2015 model in the sale with a worthy saving where as the other is the 2016 model at full retail.

Just after your thoughts please.

1. Canyon Aeroad CF SLX 9.0 Team Kat currently at £4540 reduced from £5400. (2015 model)

2. Canyon Aeroad CF SLX 9.0 at the full price of £3800 (2016 model)

https://www.canyon.com/en-gb/road/aeroad/2016/aeroad-cf-slx-9-0.html

The bikes are identical all apart from the 2015 model has full DI2 Dura Ace with sprint shifters and Mavic Cosmic CXR 60 WTS Clinchers rims and the 2016 model has full mechanical Dura Ace and Mavic Carbon Pro Exalith WTS
rims.

So my question is, is it worth the extra £740 for upgrading to DI2 over mechanical and the difference in wheels taking into consideration the big saving in the 2015 model?

What would you do??

Thanks in advance..

If you can afford the extra then you'll regret not getting the di2 at some point in the near future. to be fair, even if it'd be a struggle to find the extra now, you'll still regret not getting di2 when you had the chance!
