auto pause on garmin 510

i have the auto pause set to on on my 510.so when I stop I see the icon flash up "auto pause" but after a second or 2 the timer kicks in again.was just wondering is the ride time still paused and this is just the elapsed time keeping going or has it kicked back in again and just restarted ride time again??

Total time will still be calculated but the ride time is paused until you reach the minimum speed to be recorded again.
