Felt nine series

I'm normally a roadie but I fancy a change and I find the idea of XC appealing, I'll be doing nothing too technical and comfort is more important than speed as I ain't going to be racing. I've been looking at a 29er and I like the geometry of the Felt nine series but I'm struggling to find any reviews online, so I'd appreciated your thoughts please. Oh, I'm particularly interested in the nine 5 or nine 30.
Thanks

Why do all roadies go for Felt or Trek 29ers?
Felt are generally poor value. What's your budget?Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

We had a meeting . Seriously, large wheels appeals as I'll spent more time travelling and climbing that going down hill; the felt nine series becasue they offer a good stand over height and the geometry seems good, the spec didn't seem too bad either.

The nine 30 is around £800, nine 5 is around £1000 if you shop aroundRockmonkeySC wrote:What's your budget?
Ideally around £1000 but I could stretch to £1500 for the right bike.0 -
£1,300 for a Recon Silver equipped bike and the thick end of a grand for an XC28?
And Deore bits.
Crazy.
I'd expect a bit more for the money.

Stand over height is pretty much irrelevant and 29" wheels aren't necessarily better at climbing or covering miles, it's about the whole bike.
That Felt is terrible value for money. A cheaper Boardman is much better.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
