I like these two, may do some XC races but just for fun. Which would you pick and why? Thanks in advance for the help!

  • Neither. The Canondale is a pure xc race bike. The Scott has stupid tyres size which is at the moment gives a very limited tyre choice.
  • I've pulled the trigger on the Cannondale, pure XC is fine by me.
The last decent mountain bike I owned was in 1999 so I anything will feel good to me. I like the lefty fork as well..
Most of the trails around me are natural and aren't that technical.

I do think the Scott looks great through.
  • You might find the Canondale very harsh and unstable if you're not used to xc race bikes.
Lefty forks are great when new.....
