Hi, everybody.
I'm from China. I want to know more about bicycle and fork. I have search some details about fork before.
I want to know if you need a XC bike with a suspension fork, which features would you care about most about the fork?
I just need your opinion about it, Thx.

It should be boingy.
But not too boingy.
Have an end bit that fits the frame.
Have another end bit (two ends are better than one) that fits a round rolly thing.I don't do smileys.

All that and not too heavy. Heavy is bad for XC.0

It needs to be black with some gold or black slidey bits. The knobs must be anodised and shiney.
There should be oil inside (preferably extra Virgin suspension oil)Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

XC bikes normaly have a bit less travel, 80mm or 100mm.
Preference seems to be air fork more than spring fork, such as rockshox tk gold solo air, or rockshox Reba.0 -
Air spring, adjustable rebound and low speed compression damping.0

Consider a rigid carbon fork, they're very light and you can get some good ones that won't need any international shipping to get to you.Specialized Roubaix Elite 2015

No3: It should be idiot proof and reliable

No5: It should have IS brake mounts and be reliable.Fig rolls: proof that god loves cyclists and that she wants us to do another lap0 -

Light is good
Stiff is good.
Idiot proof would mean very limited adjustment. I want high and low speed adjustment for compression and rebound dampers.
Why not post mounts for the brakes?
Black is good and apparently once you try it you will never go back.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

Post mounts are a crap idea plenty of forks are killed when a thread strips and it cant be Helicoiled. You strip a thread on an IS adaptor and big deal it will cost you about £7 from an internet seller. You might use all the damper knobs I know I do but maybe as many as 90% never even touch them.Fig rolls: proof that god loves cyclists and that she wants us to do another lap0 -
Dont over tighten bolts and threads wont strip.
Learn to set up suspension and the adjustment is great for getting your fork spot on.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
