I have a Marin east-peak 2004. (LINK BELOW)
http://www.bikepedia.com/quickbike/BikeSpecs.aspx?Year=2004&Brand=Marin&Model=East+Peak
I need to replace the front forks and have £250 to spend, I am aware I need a 1 1/8 threadless with around 100mm of travel but what else do I need to know? And does anyone have any suggestions on a really decent set for my budget.
Thanks!

Make sure the drop out is compatible, QR, through axle etc.
Rockshox tk gold solo air or rockshox Reba seem well reviewed and in your budget.0 -
I'm also looking to upgrade my forks for around the £250 mark. Does anyone have any thoughts on these 3?

Suntour Epixon are better than any of those, and can be found (ebay for example) for less than £150.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Got a link to the 29" version as I'm saving for some Reba's and I wouldnt mind saving £100 or so if there is an eqivalent fork available.Rockhopper Sport 29

Just search ebay using (epicon, epixon) 29 it's really not hard!
For the OP, don't use the 29!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
