Alexrims wheel ticking at "joint point"!

Hi everyone!
Firstly, sorry, for my ´bad´ english.
My question is, that is it normal, that the "joint point" (where the two side of the rim joined) is giving a little "ticking" noise, when it is near to the brake pads?
I am talking about brand new wheels, they are 99% trued. But only the front wheel give the noise.
(Alexrims RACE38 with Formula hubs.)
I think it will fade by time, because of the use.
Thanks to all.

"near to the brake pads", do you mean when brakes are not applied? or when they are?
not: sounds like you got the brake pads adjusted too close, aime for about 1.5-2mm gap between rim and pad, also make sure the brakes are centred

Whem I´m breaking.. when i don´t, there is no problem!0 -
I would try and work out if the wheel is off true (such that it can be adjusted) or badly finished (the joint point should be finished so that it is absolutely as flush as the rest of the rim).
To do this, simple offset the brake bridge (most can be easily adjusted using the centering screw/bolt) so that it only just clears one rim, then spin the wheel. Make a note of where it rubs using some sticky tape stuck on the wheel. Repeat the process for the other side, observe how true the rim is in rotation and see if there is a similar issue in the same place, again sticky tape works well.
When you have completed that, ping out an update :-)0 -
Most cheaper Alexrims are simple pinned ones , some times you can feel/hear the joint braking.
Nothing to worry about, disappears in time.0
