There is no MEH large enough to convey what I think of any Rebellin win0

Agreed, I'm struggling to think of a bigger tw@t in Pro Cycling than Rebellin0 -

I take it the consensus is that Rebellin is still doping or is there another reason for the dislike? Genuine question rather than trolling I'm not in favour of doping to win races but why is he worse than any of many others who were caught?[Castle Donington Ladies FC - going up in '22]0

I'm confused by having to decide between the old doper - who's supporters used his closeness to God as a significant reason enough to denounce the possibility that he was dirty - and my current least favourite rider in the peloton*, who's crime is far greater, in my mind: being a massive twit.

I cant stand Piti or Scarponi either (for example). I'm not going to whoop for a Schumacher win (for example), or for certain other riders' wins.
However, I'm not going to go MEH every time someone who rode in say 2005, wins a race.

Or Luigi? He still gets a free pass/hero worship on here. I've actually warmed back up to Valverde. He seems more believable now and always comes across as a gent.
As to Rebellin, I never liked the guy, he was always the antagonist to Bettini's panache. But don't think he was any worse than Il Grillo ethically.
Meh is probably an appropriate response.
As you can see from my avatar I accept that dope was (is?) very much part of cycling and realise that many of my favourites have been at it.. No problem with that, it's just the dislike seemed so universal wondered if you all knew something I didn't. He's not a particular favourite of mine though I do like the fact a 44 year old is still up there.[Castle Donington Ladies FC - going up in '22]0 -
A very exciting and unexpected finish to the sprinter's Coppa, yesterday.
A pity somebody had blown the result for me, before I watched it.
Nibali obviously has hit a rich vein of form.
Noboby could live with him every time the road went up, yesterday and only Rebellin could, the day before.
The last person to manage that when Nibali was starting to fly was Francesco Reda at the national champs...................................................................................................."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

Rebellin is actually from the Philippines. At least for the purposes of Olympic selection next year he is."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"
