Power2max Canyon compatibility?
Does anyone have a power2max, type S, SRAM model on a Canyon CF SL or SLX?
I'm considering the above power meter to use with Force 22 chainset on my Canyon and finding it difficult to know if the two are compatible from the website. Anyone know if this is an option?

Have you read this page?
http://www.power2max.de/europe/en/support/frame-compatibility/
You can always ask p2m using their contact page, as they have a good customer service team - they might be able to help.0 -
Thanks
I had a read of the site but the outer diameter of the bottom bracket bore all seamed a bit vague as to what to measure. I've emailed them now so hopefully all will become clear.0 -

You'll be presumably going for the Type S and swapping the crank spider? If so, with SRAM models it is compatible with all frame types other than BB386 EVO, presumably because of the additional width of BB386 EVO frame bottom bracket shells. I run Force 22 on my Reacto (BB386 EVO) and went down the Rotor 3D24 with a Type S route and it fits and works perfectly. Unless your Canyon is BB386 EVO, you shouldn't have any problem.
From the Power2Max web site:
This power2max Type S power meter for the Sram S900, Sram Force 22 und Sram Rival 22 cranks is the right choice for you, in case you have already got a Sram crank. You just replace the crank spider with your new power2max power meter.
With the power2max Type S power meter training and racing successfully is not a matter of chance, but pure purpose because of systematically planned workouts. The power2max power meter measure very precise and always reliably your power output on the bike; it is water proof, does have an internal temperature compensation mechanism and is absolute simple to use. You can change the battery or the chain rings yourself, without having to worry about the calibration.
Information: Please consider that the power2max Type S for Sram cranks is not compatible with BB386 Evo frames.I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.0 -
Hello all Canyon / Power2max experts !
If anyone of you can help me it would be wonderful.
I have a Canyon Aeroad CF 8.0 2014, with a Sram Force 22 chainset (110mm).
I bought a power2max wich is compatible with the chainset and my BB86, but when putting the power2max instead the sram force "star", the power2max is too big at the rear and is touching the bike frame, so I can not turn the handle totally.
Here are 3 pictures to understand the problem. You can even see a black mark on the white part of the drive :
I am really surprised with this problem and trying to find a solution.
I am almost sure that other canyon aeroad owners should have succeed to install a power2max type S, isn't it ? I thought that the movistar pro team was using both for example.
If you have any idea to help (may be a little ring of 1.5mm but will it be enough ?)
Thank you very much in advance !

Moviestar do use Power2max, but not SRAM. They're using Campagnolo. Have you tried contacting Power2max? They're usually pretty quick to come back with answers. It may be you need to be adding a spacer to bring the crankset out slightly away from the frame, provided you're certain you've done the spider assembly correctly.I ride a bike.
