Wide Fitting Pannier Rack Needed

My bike (a Cube SL Road Race) is about 17cm wide at the rear hub where a rack and guards would be attached. The bike has disk brakes and the stays are very fat, making it at least 2cm wider at that point than other bikes I measured.
The rack that I got for it - a Tortec Expedition - doesn't feel like it will stretch wide enough without risking damage. Out of the box it isn't even close to fitting.
So, are there any racks which will fit easily to such a wide hub? Or should I just risk having a go with the new Tortec rack? Seatpost racks aren't an option as I frequently carry heavy and bulky loads.

The rack will probably fit. They're made from aluminum which is quite flexible. Also consider using spacers to pad things out a bit.

Aye. Bend it.Sometimes parts break. Sometimes you crash. Sometimes it’s your fault.0
