Rear Tyre for 29'er - Rocky Terrain

Hi,
Running a 2.3 Bontrager XR4 up front but has anyone got any ideas for a rear tyre tat can take a bit of a pounding/decent sidewalls.
It will be on a Canyon Nerve so something 2.2ish would be great.

not very hence why I suggested the 2.4 rather than the 2.20

My Trail King 2.4s come up as 2.2" and 2.25" on the front and rear respectively on 21mm rims. What width rims are you running?Current fleet

Thanks - they are Mavic Crossrides which I think are only 15mm wide...the bike came with Mountain Kings but they were 2.2 and I remember now they were very narrow so sounds like the 2.4 is the way to go.Remember Rule #50 -
19mm unless they are 2016 versons in which case they are 21mm. should be fine with the MK 2.4s0
