Hi guys,
I have a Marin east-peak 2004 and have just bought a new rear shock from ebay. I know the eye to eye length of the shock is 165mm My question is, will this be compatible with my bike. The link to my purchase is below.

Needs to have the same stroke as the original shock. It's unlikely anyone will know for such an old bike but digging around on the Internet should find the original eye to eye and stroke length.
You might need new bushes as well.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
I think the original was 165mm eye to eye, 38mm stroke, so it will fit perfectly.I don't do smileys.

Could have just added this to the other thread on the same topic where it was pointed out that stroke had to match as well.
