Neutral sevice vehicles - one size fits all?

I was watching coverage of La Vuelta and saw a rider have his back wheel replaced by a neutral service vehicle.
The new wheel and tyre were obviously different to the front wheel.
What about the campag/shimano conflict with the cassette? Maybe some riders prefer certain gear ratios?
So- do neutral service vehicles carry a standard emergency wheel or do they have an array that cover a specific preference for individual teams/riders?

Spacing between cassette cogs is the same for 11 speed Shimano/Sram and Campagnolo, so any neutral service wheel is fine.0

You can also give the neutral service car wheels for your riders if necessary. Brian Smith was explaining yesterday on the ToB that Stybar's mechanic had given the neutral car a couple of disc brake wheels as Zdenek was trialing disc brakes on yesterday's stage0
