On Dumoulin

I'm just miffed that we can't give Tom D the nickname 'Captain Scarlet' anymore ... Obvious head/eyebrow comparisons aside, sadly, it needed the jersey to make it stick.Life is unfair, kill yourself or get over it.0

I think Dumoulin rode out of skin and personally I would have loved to see him win.
I was gutted when Aru won, nothing personal to him, but I just can't stand Astana and their dodgy ways, I just can't take them seriously knowing their history. Any win from that team is tarnished for me because I'm always wondering if it's legit.
Wether Dumoulin could have lived with Froome (had he not broken his foot) I personally doubt. I think Froome was coming into his top form and would probably have walked this given Quintana's form. But thats racing for you.0 -
Wait, wait, wait... I go away for 1 week and FF's dropping the mic? What the what?!"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

I didn't realise how much I wanted Dumoulin to win until he didn't, look forward to seeing more from him.
Agree with the above about Chavez, Dumoulin and Rodriguez coming across well.0 -

On the plus side for Tom the form he's shown may power him to the World TT title next week, if he isn't absolutely wrecked. Has Tony Martin raced since his Tour crash? I have a feeling Rohan Dennis may well be focussed on the worlds as well tho.0

What is that on Aru's head?
That's his EPO pump, with a remote control link to Vino's car.
*joke*It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.0 -

Un chapeau?0 -
We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

Yes - Le Flounce
we're all wondering how he's going to do it
I think (hope) he's going to follow recent forum practice, forget his password and come back as frenchfighter part deux
otherwise I fear he will meet an untimely end when his hard drive, with no outlet for all those pixels, explodes under the weight of 8 trillion of the greatest cycling photos of all time and burns his house down0 -

My car hit 66,666 miles the other day and I near wet myself I was that excited.

Imagine how good he could be if he can get his weight down under 100 kg.
Shame you don't have it in you to be magnanimous whilst 'you men' aren't winning, but better late than never I suppose.
FWIW Tom is 1.85m and 69Kgs. At 24 years of age he has a bright future ahead of him.ademort

As you know this Dutch chap is not someone I can back and not someone who generates much emotions for me. Largely due to him being the TT GC rider.
However, this lad has really impressed...

I'm sure he'll sleep better knowing that this thread exists.Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.0

Three blocked posts on here which I saw as I wasn't auto logged in. There could have been some praise for Tom or something interesting for others to read but clearly you thought posting rubbish would be a more worthwhile contribution to this thread and of greater interest for the people reading it. I pity you for your immaturity and clear lack of intelligence. I certainly wont miss those mind numbing and useless posts and posters when I'm gone.
I genuinely read this and thought it was someone saying it to you until I checked the poster.0 -

Which I think is around same height as Froome, and 2kg or so heavier?
The Wiggins parallels are obvious, although Dumoulin on a couple of the hilly finishes displayed more punch?0 -
Big Tom has released his power data for the vuelta, and it's pretty impressive to say the least

But I'm sure there's lots of people more than keen to just notice the 7.0 and 6.6 w/kg and completely ignore they were over relatively short durations only0
