Comments

  • Hope are VERY VERY loud.

One of my Pacenti SL25 had a loose sleeve and is unbalanced. My other 3 are all great.

    My Archetypes are great.

If choosing though, I'd want the Grails. Something about them. Look good.

You can't go wrong with any of them IMO

I have the exact same wheels as your 1st build specification with the Sapim Race spokes. Bought from Moonglu back in March.

Been running them on my Equilibrium Disc since then and they are excellent. Can't really offer any comparisons with your other suggested options but I don't think you would be disappointed with the Archetypes. Slight downside is that they are not tubeless specific but can be converted if you wish (others have confirmed this in previous threads.)

I've been running them mostly with Michelin Pro4 SC in 25mm but have recently swapped to Michelin Pro4 Endurance in 28mm. Significant improvement in ride comfort IMHO without any negative impact on rolling resistance.

With regard to the Pacenti rims, I have seen some comments about difficulties with fitting tyres.

Can't add anymore to the previous posters with regards to your suggestions. However, if you wanting disc specific rims - how about the Velocity Aileron rims?
Spokemanwheels and cycleclinic both build with this rim at a competitive price with novatech hubs.
