2016 Contador's Last Season

No wonder Frenchie is talking about retiring.
Unless I suffer a fall like that of 2014 or if I start my own project in the very short term, my idea is still finish at the end of next season
Next year the main focus will be the Tour and, after it, I will decide the rest. It is true that the course of the Olympics is very hard and if all goes well I would like to join the Spanish team
No wonder Frenchie is talking about retiring.

How old is AC now? He has a young family as well IIRC? He has nothing left to prove; I think he's right to retire while at the top and spend more time at home.0

Contador will start next year a sprightly 33 and a few months - so young compared to the life expectancy of a pro these days
It will be his 14th year as a pro - but what 14 years. When you burn that bright maybe each year counts as two!
I remember him in the ONCE team from 2003 - that was the year Beloki was the leader and broke his leg on the Rochette - he didnt ride the Tour that year . In fact he didn't really have an outstanding time in his early 20's - his first 4 seasons were promising (2nd in Romandie though) - and then 2007 he gets the Tour riding for Discovery (now, now) then 2008 the Giro Vuelta double riding for Astana (now, now, now)
That 2003 ONCE team must have had some life giving force as David Arroyo and J Rod from that team are still going strong in this years Vuelta at 35 and 36 respectively - so it could be argued the man with the golden gun could get another 3-4 years out of the game0 -
good . one less doper in the peloton.0

Dynamic rider on the road but I'll be glad to see the back of another drug cheat. You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.0 -

"one less doper....."? Maybe, maybe not. People will always find a way to cheat or gain an advantage over the "system". If you're waiting for a clean sport, well, one day, when you're old and gray you'll look back and say damn, it never was. The lure of fame and fortune will always be the impetus for some people to try to get to the top by bending the rules in an effort to find an easier way up there.0 -

Actually that doesn't sound right. Oh well.0 -

It's 'fewer' for things that you can count and 'less' for things you can't.
So it depends whether you think Contador counts or not0 -

well he's demonstrated he's not good at counting as he seems to think he's won a couple more GTs than he actually has.0
