Hi
I have an 8 speed bike with 130mm 5 bolt bcd 50-39-30 chainrings. 8 speed shifter, chain and cassette. I have just bought a replacement 50t chainring (just about the only one I could find), just arrived in the post, but it's marked as being for a 10 speed (it has correct BCD). Can I just pop this on and use it or am I likely to have any problems with it?
I use the bike for work commuting, it's not a performance machine!
Thanks for any advice. Looks to me like I should just be able to use it...?

Thanks very much raflecher - I thought it might be the case as they look practically identical but nice to have it confirmed.0
