Ergon SME3 grips question

Hi,
I was planning on replacing the Syncros grips that came with my Scott Spark with a pair of Ergon SME3's. The Syncros grips are designed so they integrate with the clamp on the Twinloc remote, without the need for a separate clamp for the grip. Unfortunately, the Ergon grips aren't compatible with this and use its own clamp. The twinloc remote has nothing to clasp onto and sits loosely on the bar. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to fit them, and get everything to play nicely?

Thanks, that worked a treat. I put a few layers of insulation tape around the bar and cut it to suit the clamp on the remote. Everything fits nicely now
