A real shame the series has been lost. It certainly wasn't loosing popularity but maybe British Cycling's lack of support contributed to this.

I don't the lack of support from BC helped but other series are selling out still. Looks like a lot is down to personal cicumatances from what he's said.0

lack of BC is irrelavent, the price, the insurance and the attitude of the organiser caused its down fall0
-
But they sold out every round. Lack of entries weren't the problem.
From what I have been told by series regulars the insurance and helmet rules just got rid of the less serious riders just having a go and made it easier for more serious racers to get in every round.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
numbers were down and they had a cancel a round because of lack of interest.0

That race clashed with about three other races the same weekend. Not surprising numbers were down.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

and people choose to do those other races instead rather than the "national" lol series0 -
One of the races was the DH national champs. A lot of enduro racers also race DH.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
