Recommend me some replacement knee pads

Ive been using 661 Kyle Straits for 2 years.
They have been ok, but after an hour, the top velcro strap starts digging into the back of my knee. They also get quite hot and sweaty.
Im thinking about a more minimal pad, like the Alpinestars Paragon or POC vpd air.
Anyone else got either of those, or any others they can recommend?
Ride mostly in the Peaks and red/black trails.

Can't speak for the POC vld air but I do have the 'POC Joint VPD 2.0s' and the quality and construction is absolutely first class. I've had quite a few heavy landings on them and they look unused. So a thumbs up for POC in general.All the gear, no idea and loving the smell of jealousy in the morning.

I have the vpd air. only worn them once for about 3 hrs, stayed in place, very comfortable, havnt fallen off yet but feel confident in their offered level of protection.0
