Giant Intrigue vs Canyon Nerve vs ??

Hi Guys

I'm looking to buy my fiancé a new bike. (she just had hers stolen)
She previously has a Cube Access hardtail so this will be here first full-suss

Her riding is a mixture of trail centre blue/red's and general single-track riding.
Currently she isn't an aggressive rider as she lacks a little confidence.

I'm leaning towards the Giant Intrigue 2 at the moment because I think my riding style is influencing me
However I'm a little worried that the 140mm travel could be too much for her.

Alternatively we are looking at 120mm bikes i.e Canyon Nerve but this kind of seems quite XC orientated and wonder if going down this option wont allow here to get more confident on trails.

Do any of you guys have any experience or can help out in any way.
(Budget approx £1500ish)

Thought I'd follow this up.

She went for the intrigue.
Loves it. Each ride she gets more confident.

I've tried riding it a few times and apart from being bit on the small side for me seems pretty good.
