Bent tyre beads

Hi,

I recently bought a (wire bead) tyre from an Amazon seller and it arrived folded and tightly bound with 2 plastic packing strips. I've read around a bit and it sounds like it's not unusual for tyres to be shipped folded, but this definitely didn't look like the correct way to fold them and there's 4 kinks in the bead where it was bound.

I thought I'd try it anyway but the inner tube split quite suddenly about 30 minutes after inflating it (without riding). I'm not sure whether I should try again and if there's anything I can do to make sure this doesn't pinch the inner tube, or if I should return this?

    Tyre looks fine to me.

Just take more care when fitting the tyre. Don't use tools.
