They're both fine....
And incidentally both wrong. It's MILE.0 -
Dear Ned,
Kilometer rhymes with millimeter, NOT gasometer!Twitter: @RichN950 -
And Manglier rhymes with wild boar?0

David Millar though, christ his voice sends me to sleep! I realise his knowledge of pro racing is second to none but his voice is so monotone.0

there's a Millar and Boulting thread for thisGiant Trance X 2010
Specialized Tricross Sport
My Dad's old racer
Trek Marlin 29er 20120 -
Mod can't merge threads anymore however.
He does need to speak more slowly. Means he can say less. Does occasionally feel like I'm being bombarded.
Bit calmer would be nice too, but I get that new fans need to feel like it's pant wettingly exciting.0 -

More like killer-metre, I reckon. But yeah, it should follow in the same vein as kilogramme, kilohertz, kilobyte. No idea why so many people say kill-OM-etre.0 -
I think Ned joined the forum on the 2nd, or it may be Lionel Birne - I forget exactly what journo it was but saw their user browsing the pro race forum last week. They had no posts at the time.Contador is the Greatest0

I really hope this is true.
From time to time we've had some posters with excellent insight and/or experience (gottheteeshirt2 and BriSmithy) who've drifted away. Maybe we'll have some new ones.
Lionel Birnie was the first person I followed on twitter... (wipes tear away)0 -

What about Sean Kelly?0 -
How do you rhyme kilometer with gasometer?0

I'm sure Lionel Birnie was a member here years ago and used to post. Or it could've been Bikeradar's predecessor (was it Cycling Plus forum?)0 -
My mistake, it was Edward Pickering.
There have been 147 people join since him. Quite amazing the amount of new usernames that sign up to this site every day.Contador is the Greatest0 -

Let's put this one to bed.You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.0 -
What about Sean Kelly?
I'll have to listen again but
Kill omatar or Keel oh meeter are the ways my countrymen mangle the word.
CertaintlyIt's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired. You quit when the gorilla is tired.0 -

King Kelly talks a completely different language... his performance on the recent Cycling Podcast was ace but I was scratching my head at times.0 -

I'd go for a bit of both with Kill oh meeter.0
