Will this fit?

Looking at updating my 2005 cannondale caad8 Ultegra to a compact. It'll be cheaper for me to buy the whole group set:
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/au/en/shimano-ultegra-6800-11-speed-groupset/rp-prod110818#
Then to buy the components plus new shifters which are on their way out.
Are here any issues with fitting the new crank to the old BB or will the new BB fit onto the old BBshell? The old BB and crankset is a SLK giga carbon.
Oh, and another thing- will the 11 speed fit my existing rear hub ok? I presume it has a narrower chain.
Tx in advance.

You'll need a new bottom bracket for the 6800 chainset. If it's standard BSA BB then the hollowtech 2 BB will fit that fine.
As for the rear cassette, it depends on the wheels. I doubt that an 11 speed shimano cassette will fit and you'd need new 11 speed compatible wheels (Unless they are mavic and use a spacer at the moment.)Insta: ATEnduranceCoaching

Thanks Napoleon,
The group set comes with a BB by the looks of it and my wheels are Mavic Ksyrium Elite.
Given the risk of needing new wheels I might look for a new compact 10 speed instead.
Thanks for your advice.0 -

Check if your mavic wheel has a spacer between the cassette and hub, if so, it should be fine with 11speed
Mavic are one of the only makes that worked with 11 speed shimano from the off.Insta: ATEnduranceCoaching

Are cannondales frames not all BB30? Or is 2005 before they all went that way?0

BB30 has been around a while but the CAAD8 came with either the FSA or Ultegra Hollowtech 2 BB as standard so I'd assume BSA. If not, and it is BB30, you can get a good adapter from Rotor or Praxis.
PS - The groupset is cheaper here and includes brake cables.

It's a truvativ giga BB with a carbon rouleur crankset. I am unsure if it is bb30 and the bike is at work, locked in my office. I will check it tomorrow (and the wheels). Thanks for the tip about ribble.0
