RSP pro racer long mudguards
Got wet this morning so bought some mudguards in the nearest shop to work - RSP pro race long. They look like SKS raceblades.
No instructions for fitting and no joy finding instructions online besides some generic videos. I worked out how the bits go together and the rear is okay more or less, I just need to bring some pliers in tomorrow to squeeze the mount (for the brake caliper bolt) tighter to the guard.
However, the front has me baffled. Is the quick release skewer supposed to go through that loop? if so the fork is in the way.
The rear has a mount to attach to a bolt that goes into the frame. See pic below.
There are no more bits in the bag. Help.

I suspect that:
Firstly, they are designed to work with mudguard bosses like full mudguards, not clip-ons like race blades.
Secondly, you have the stays the wrong way round. Looks to me as though the plastic connectors are for the front and allow the stays to break away should something get trapped between the tyre and mudguard. It's a safety feature not really needed on the rear.0 -
^ is correct. The safety tabs will be for the front guard. The rear stay is your first pic and just needs a bolt through the loop and into the threaded mounting hole on the dropout.
If your frame / fork lacks the threaded holes then you're going to need to buy some extra mounting hardware.0 -
