661 Comp Pressure Suit

Anyone had one? I'm building a new big rig and my current solid Alpinestars MX core protection is too solid, too bulky and far too big for me. Recent snapping of collarbone has confirmed that I am not indestructible and could do with some heavy duty protection for serious riding/racing. My previous experience of 661 Comp gear has been entirely positive, so this seemed like the ideal accompaniment. Any and all experiences and opinions appreciated .

I have got one but don't use it any more. It is quite bulky and hot to wear. It will do nothing to protect from breaking collar bones, mine broke while wearing it.
I stopped wearing mine last summer when I decided that wearing it on a warm day was less comfortable than breaking bones. In cold weather the mesh lining can be quite uncomfortable.
I now wear a Troy Lee body protector. It seems to have worked in some big crashes and is a LOT more comfortable, especially on warm days.

That's unfortunate. The last thing I want is something hot and uncomfortable. The TLD protection stuff seems to be less overpriced than their helmets, shame that one and many others are not available in medium or large. I'm tempted by one of these vest shape jobs, looks like it offers a wider range of movement than a full shirt. Hard though to tell what the magnitude of protection offered is, details are sparse

Have a good search, you should find it in your size somewhere. It's a lot more protective than the 661 equivalent vest.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

I quite fancy that troy lee suit, is it CE rated?0

Dunno and don't really care but I have crashed pretty hard in it and walked away uninjured. The only major injury I have had since buying it was when I didn't bother wearing it.
Testing for CE marking or anything similar is all a bit too scientific, crashes never happen like that.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

hows the fit
On me it's pretty good. Obviously it won't suit everyone.
I'm 6'1" and 14 stone and the large is spot on.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
