Time for a call to the trade mark lawyers. Not only stealing the True Champion TM brand but applying it to a Skybot? Frenchie is going to get mad!!0

You know I have been convinced for a good couple of years that the cyclingnews and other sites look at this forum and get ideas etc.Contador is the Greatest0 -
Haha, love this.
I reckon Eurosport read this forum, they now have a post race analysis. That was mentioned here before they started doing it ;-)0 -
Ha I'm a PC subscriber so got this issue a couple of weeks ago.
First thing I thought was "Frenchie won't like this cover"0 -

I regularly hear Eurosport commentators say things that have been put on here just before, pretty much word for word. I wouldn't be surprised if they scan cycling related social media for ideas when commenting on hours of live, and often boring, racing.0 -
Yep, people definitely read this forum. I've definitely heard stuff that we talked about be repeated back almost verbatim on Eurosport for example.Correlation is not causation.0

And I have earnt thousands of pounds in royalties for allowing my signature to be used as a book title.Half man, Half bike0

Re : reading forums. There are just trends out there and you shouldn't be surprised they make their way into the media. Doesn't mean they come from here, or anywhere else really.Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0

I would assume a lot of it comes from Twitter... Both on here and Eurosport etc.0

Yeah, no offence guys but I don't think our cycling commentary is really all that special...We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

I thought this thread was going to be about FF reaching his 30,000th post... I guess we have to wait a little longer for that glorious day though0

CN cited Andy Tennant as the current IP World Champion t'other day. A surprise to all including Stefan Kung.0 -

interesting
When we met the CP boys at Richard's book launch last year, Richard greeted me with a familiarity that was so genuine I nearly said "have we met somewhere before"
Maybe that's the skill of a good print journo though..? Immediately disarming the interviewee..We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

Would be great if they did a Bernabino's trousers section on Eurosport.
Or adopted some of the forum nicknames like Señor Hairplugs. They'd probably baulk at Ladygarden, though.Giant Trance X 2010

Possibly.
Freibe and Moore follow me and vice versa on Twitter. I'd imagine they use that, forums etc to get a feel for what regular fans are thinking outside of the team bubbles.Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.0
