Rider emergency information systems

So, my mate just took delivery of a bell helmet which has a 1 yr subscription to icedot.org.
this means his bike helmet has a sticker on it with a text number and a PIN. The system requires him to register his details and it means that in an emergency, someone can text the number on his helmet and enter his pin and any medical information and contact details canbe displayed.
it seems like a brilliant idea for people out riding. if they get knocked out and cant answer questions a paramedic might ask, the details can be found out really easily. They even make a device which connects to your phone and can automatically send your loction details in an accident.
is there any other system out there which does this?
If not, do any of you guys carry easy to find emergency details on your kit when riding?
would you know your mates next of kin details or blood group or allergies in an emergency?
My job means i would have all of these details on hand for my whole team and these details are also kept in the control room. we would just have to send a brief message including a code for each individual and the correct medical care would make its way to us. I have never thought to use this system when out with my mates.
it seems like a sensible thing to do when out with your mates.

I have the same on my generic Android phone.
If I'm unconscious or too messed up to talk properly then the last thing I want the person who found me to be doing is messing about sending texts. I want them to fix me up, call an ambulance or have the common decency to just nick my watch, wallet and bike and f@@k off.
The Paramedics will know to check my phone when I'm stable.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

Road ID bracelet with ICE details.
Can't be damaged in a crash, no batteries to go flat, bright yellow so hopefully easy to spot. Having said that, I have an ICE app as well...0 -
I don't know what my blood group is.
Go and donate some, you might help someone, you might feel good about yourself, and you'll find out your group.
You might even find out what social diseases you have. My bet is those bad aids worms.I don't do smileys.

I would, unfortunately I have something approaching a phobia of needles. On the odd occasion that I've had to have injections it's brought me out in a cold sweat. All the gear, no idea and loving the smell of jealousy in the morning.

Man up and let the nice nurse stab you and drain your blood.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

I had to go for a diabetes test a while back as it runs in my family. They take one lot of blood then give you a sugary drink, you then walk round for an hour and come back and give a second lot of blood. It was very much touch and go that I was going to go back for the second lot. I really had to force myself to go back. It's odd, because I'm not in the least bit squeamish about anything else. Absolute carnage I have not the slightest issue with. All the gear, no idea and loving the smell of jealousy in the morning.

When I was in hospital recently with a ruptured spleen (gap jump gone bad) the nurse had a box of multicoloured blood tubes and asked the surgeon which she should do. He replied two of each, twelve in total! I had to apologise to the nurse and put on my mp3 player (Faith No More - Sol Invictus) while she drained my veins.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
