...the magazines "Bicycle" and "Bicycle Action"? I used to read them back in the 80s, ah memories
TBH, "Bicycle" was going rapidly downhill towards the end of my time reading it (1987ish), but in its early days was a real pioneer, having articles on the very, very early Mountain Bikes, for example (it was then edited by the late, great Richard Ballantine)
"Bicycle Action" was a younger upstart, which came in and snapped up Bicycle's readers, with more of a focus on MTB and racing, when Bicycle got all excited about Triathlon (yuk)
So - anyone know????
