Hi all,
I haven't owned a bike for about a decade so getting back into the game somewhat!
The only thing I'm sure of is that I want a hardtail and, I think, I want to go down the 29er route as it'll be used more for long rides than technical ones (please correct me if that's wrong/a bad idea!) Also, back in the day, I wasn't averse to upgrades so a decent frame is probably the main thing, everything else is easily changed!
So far, my favourite by a long way is the Whyte 529: http://whyte.bike/gb/models/crosscountrytrail/x29-performance-xc-hardtail-29er/529-2/ Anyone recommend anything else?
Cheers

Not a massive amount in it, but the on-one parkwood is 700 and the decathlon big 8 (750) are both slightly better spec, but it's not night and day, so if the whyte works for you, go for it.
Of course, the best option is to go to a store and see which one you like best in the metal.0 -
Ooh, that On-One Parkwood is very nice! My decision has been made somewhat more difficult now...
Thanks though!0 -
