He's gonna need a bigger spanner than that!0
-
Have I missed something? What is wrong? Or was it the comment "if you can fix a bike you can fix a lynx?"0
-
If you are all making comments on someone showing initiative from a young age and making a transition from fixing a board to a Lynx and calling him a dumbass then F*** you all.
I might have taken the wrong message from this, but that seems like the message that is implied.
Please tell me I am wrong!0 -

Calm down. Have a coffee. Then come back. Look at the cranks on the bike, that is what the joke is about0 -
Jokes and sarcasm aren't his strong point.
Calming down is very good advice, especially as you want to join one of the services (can't remember which). If you're getting upset over this you might have a few issues when serving.0 -
Indeed, and having spent a decade on those horrible pussers grey things I can testify a thick skin is required0

So yes, he's a dumbass regardless of what's wrong in the picture. It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

Now, now, lets not be too harsh.
You are right, real men join the engineers and even the manliest of those become bomb disposal and search experts.
However, the navy does have the marines and clearance divers so there are some pretty awesome jobs there
too. (but not as awesome as being a sapper).
Oh and lets not forget the chefs are pretty awesome too:
dont mess with his soup.0 -

I heard EOD and search were all gay too(but not as awesome as being a sapper).
However this is the truest statement ever made
Question is who's worst, Navy or RAF?0 -
Although im too much of a gentleman to kiss and tell, i will reveal that the men of the airforce are very gentle men in deed.0

scared of real work is more true. We all talk a good "soldier first"0 -

I also heard you a talk some good combat engineering.
But then what do I know, I'm about to start 2 years of queue jumping and forget all the real work I've ever done0 -
-
Clerk of works?
Jiving.
Yeah
The quals I'll get from it will mean I'm laughing once I'm out.0 -
-
That's the reaction I expected0 -
tobe fair it is a gret way to get some very good quals which will actually be competitive in civvy street and the work experience bit you will do will give you the opportunity to do some good networking.
Just a shame you have to be employed as a CofW after the course. That was the main reason i didnt choose that path when the benefits were so tempting.0 -
Apologies I completely missed it all together
Now I get and see it, youtubed the advert last night after seeing the post and seen a parody of it so thought you were mocking. Plus I said goodbyes to my brother yesterday after some leave from RM so emotions and drink and well yeah.
And funnily enough the same thing I am wanting to do, fleet air arm. Whole process is long.
I'm not the only one who doesn't get sarcasm too.

I'd have thought being an engineer in the navy was more demanding and harder.
Hundreds of people on a metal container at sea, it's not like you have anywhere to run to.
So if sh** hits the fan you would need someone to sort it.
Again same age old battle of who is better, same thing that me and the brother had with RM's and P Coy.
I say fair play to anyone no matter what service or position now.0 -
from what it looks like hes also using a spanner to tighten the quick release or loosen it? :roll:cosna kick a bo agen a wo and ed it back till it bos-UP HANLEY ME DUCK
