I'm planning on buying a 26 inch mountain bike. I am hoping to make the following upgrades:
11x3 total 33 gears.
Quick fire shifters.
Hydraulic disc brakes.
29 inch wheels.
I was wondering if you could give me some guidance please?

What kind of guidance? All the gear, no idea and loving the smell of jealousy in the morning.

Just a note - don't try to "upgrade" to 29 inch wheels if you buy a 26 inch bike/frame... Some wouldn't consider it an upgrade (although that's a different argument completely) - but they won't fit..
You might get away with 27.5" wheels but 29" just won't fit...

All decent new bikes have hydraulic brakes, pretty much every bike since the 1990's? has had trigger shifters.
So just buy a 3x11 29er.I don't do smileys.

29" wheels on a 26" frame? That won't work.
3x11 gearing seems a bit pointless. 11 speed makes more sense as single ring. If you want a triple chainset then save a heap of cash and go for 3x10Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

This has to be a wind up. What bike are you buying and why do you want to upgrade it before you have even turned the cranks?0 -
29 inch wheels are not an upgrade on any bike. All the gear, no idea and loving the smell of jealousy in the morning.

People are allowed an opinion and my intention was not to troll. My question was serious and on topic of which bike and why upgrade straight away.
Apologies to the OP if any offence caused0 -

Dayling please ignore these people and get 29 inch but get road bike wheels with narrow profile tyres in carbon with red features. Change the bar for an ovalised one which will give aerodynamic lift and try to get special valves and a special bell too. I can offer assistance if you want decals for your magnificent new bike....take your pickelf on your holibobs....

I'm planning to use it as an off road bike. I don't think that narrow tires will work.0 -
Well that narrows it down a bit.I don't do smileys.

My very sincere and hopefully constructive advice is to find out a bit more about mountain bikes and riding them before you buy anything. Then if you still want that equipment list, get a 29er with hydraulic brakes and a 3x10 drive train.Specialized Roubaix Elite 2015

Indeed, I'm surprised the OP didn't plump for the SRAM 3 speed internal hub gear with freehub so he could have 99 gears.....Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
