Hello,

I am very new to the MTB world and I would need some help deciding between 2 bikes. I would like to know which one has the best parts. The frame will not be held into consideration. Just the parts.

First one:

The second one:
Fork: Manitou Minute Pro m. MILO, Federweg 100 mm
Crankset: Shimano SLX 42/32/24 Z
Shifter: Shimano XT
Hub: Shimano M525
Wheels: Alex DP17
Tire: Michelin Wild Grip'R 26x2.1
Brakes: Hayes Stroker Trail Disc Brake, 180/160mm
Handlebar and stem: FSA Riser XC-282L, FSA OS-190
Seat: Selle Italia Q-Bik XC Flow, FSA SL-280

This is all I have in terms of specs. Not considering the frame, if both had the same price which one would you choose.

Thank you.

There's info missing from the second one so can't compare.
  • I know but that's all I have. I would appreciate an opinion on the parts that are in both specs. Like the front suspension, brakes and so on.

Of the parts listed, just about every one is better on the second bike is better.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

Just about everything is better on the second.
Why don't you want to reveal what the frame is? That will have a major impact on how the bike rides and if it's used, the parts may not be suitable for the frame.
