My wife has an aluminium framed lady specific Bianchi, currently running an old square taper bottom bracket and Campagnplo Veloce front rear derailleur etc.
I would like to change the bottob bracket to a Campagnolo Ultra Torque system with a Veloce 50/34 crankset to complete the set up.
My questions are as follows, what thread would the bottom bracket be, Italian or English and what width 68 / 70mm ?
Any helps would be appreciated.

68mm english is the most common - should say on the bb in there if you remove it or take to your LBS0

Depends on the frame model/year - most Bianchis these days are from the Far East with BSA threaded BBs whereas older, Italian-made frames are ITA.
When you unscrew the BB, if the threads are clockwise / counterclockwise then it's BS thread, whereas Italian is counter-clockwise both sides. Only ITA uses a 70mm shell.
FWIW Veloce chainsets now use Powertorque BBs - only Chorus and Record use the superior Ultratorque design.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0 -
Think twice before you fit a Campag Powertorque chain set. It needs a special puller to service it and it is not easy to improvise.0

You can still get veloce ut nos though, so the OP should be fine in that respect. I got one a year or two ago for around £100.0

They are not "stories". Powertorque are easy to assemble, agreed. Tell me removing the left hand crank is simple when you have done it.0 -

You are talking about changing the bearings? Yes it is a PITA. Basically special bearing puller.BASI Nordic Ski Instructor

Do you guys not understand English? I repeat, I am talking about removing the lefthand crank . Yes,you have to do that to change the bearings. Replacing the bearings after you have got the crank off still needs a bearing puller.0
