Marlow Red Kite ride

Hi all
i'm thinking of entering the above. Have read quite a few positive things about the organisation. Can anyone vouch for the route and state of the roads? Last time I rode in the Chilterns around Henley the roads were shonky, even though the scenery was great... pot holes everywhere. And any climbs to be nervous of, as I'm just getting back into the saddle after a year or so of enforced lay off.
Thanks!

The route is great, the roads are pretty awful! Nothing much has changed I'm afraid.FCN 3 / 40 -
Saw in the news that this ride got hit by another case of attempted sabotage:

Hope it didn't ruin the ride for anyone. Looked like decent weather on a pretty epic route. I only realised it was going on when out for a morning spin and passed 100+ cyclists going the other way.0 -

Sadly we've a bit of previous round here for that - a couple of years back another ride was nearly wrecked when someone went round and removed the route signage - for literally miles and miles of the 75 mile route.
Would love to do this event next year, however, the route looks awesome!
It's just a hill. Get over it.0
