Good cycling near South Derbyshire

I'm looking for ideas on a few more decent local cycle routes nearby. I have two boys, 5 and 4 but both are easily riding 6 miles plus, have completed the Shellbrook trail (Hicks lodge) and were going to take on the Sherbrook trail at Cannock soon but I wondered if anyone had any idea for good interesting rides for young but very able kids. My youngest loves the humps and bumps of Hicks lodge so a bit of off road but not too challenging would be great!
Thank you

Brilliant thank you. I've heard about tunnel woods but where is the best place to start, I know when I've looked it's showing just off the A444 at High Cross! We did a route around Moira and conkers circuit and would have liked to have extended by starting down in Swad.
I'll have a nose at Sherwood Pines, I'm guessing it is very much like Cannock.

Thank you, we'll certainly give them all a go. We did the Sherbrook trail (blue route) at Cannock yesterday, which was far from flat so something slightly flatter would be a relief.0

I'm pretty sure there are quite a few trails in the area around Ticknall / Ingleby / Foremark. You should be able to join them up quite well to create a longish route. There's also a track along the river Trent where it passes through Ingleby and a canal path further up towards Swarkestone (stay off the road that runs over Swarkestone Bridge through to Derby though, it's a bit manic if you've got little ones). You hear that? He's up there... mewing in the nerve centre of his evil empire. A ground rent increase here, a tax dodge there? he sticks his leg in the air, laughs his cat laugh... and dives back down to grooming his balls!0

I have 3 kids and we live in Buxton. My kids want to go to South Derbyshire for cycling, I just want to know some places where my kids will be safe and can enjoy cycling. I am thinking of hiring hauling services from here, so it will become easy for me to take 3 cycles at a time to the new location.0
